The Rehearsal Accompanist plays piano for rehearsals for an ECCT musical production. This person should have intermediate to advanced piano skills.
ECCT is run by a Board of Directors that meet monthly. There are 3 committees to serve on that meet monthly: Marketing, Special Events and Outreach.
The Costumers dress and accessorize all the performers in a production. Costumes are usually pulled from stock storage or built in our costume shop.
Volunteering for Front of House covers three different areas of the Theatre:
Box Office, Beverage Sales and Ushering.
The Hair & Makeup Designers put the finishing look on the performers for show time. Volunteers should have a working knowledge of hair styling and/ or makeup.
The Light Board Operator is responsible for running the light board for the show. This person can be taught everything they need to know to run a show.
The Musical Director teaches the vocal music for an ECCT musical production. This person should have a background or experience in teaching vocal music. It is helpful if this person has basic piano skills, but it’s not necessary.
The Orchestra Conductor conducts the pit orchestra or combo for an ECCT musical production. This person should have a background or experience in instrumental music and classroom or practical experience in conducting.
The Prop Crew collects or creates all the small items that performers carry with them onstage. Props also include small scenic pieces and decorations that finish the look of the set.
The positions on the Running Crew depend on the size and scope of the show and what venue it’s performed in. Typical Running Crew positions include Fly Rail Operators, Stage Managers, Special Effects Flying, and Deck Hands to move scenery.
The Scenic Construction Crew assembles stock set pieces and builds new pieces as needed for each production. Painters take these scenic pieces and bring them to life using paints and finishes.
The Sound Board Operator is responsible for running the sound board for the shows: controlling microphones of actors and the orchestra and running sound cues. Some basic sound knowledge is preferred but can be taught depending on the show.
Your support and contributions will enable us continue to provide quality theater in the Chippewa Valley and encourage performers of all ages. We thank you for your generosity!
